Children Music Ministries

Children are very important to the entire Trinity family and as such, we have devoted much time and effort to all our children's programs. Trinity participates in a graded program called Church Music for Children. This program is designed to teach children age appropriate musical skills combined with training in worship and Bible stories. There are currently three children's choirs at Trinity, which meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:15 - 6:00 during the school year. Each children's choir sings in worship services and participate in several musical productions throughout the year.

Other children's music programs include:

Music Together - music classes taught for babies (newborns to pre-school ages) and adults. The program is held every Tuesday at the church.  Contact Allison Stanley (560-4126) for more information.

The Celestial Singers - is made up of children from age 4 through Kindergarten. Suzanne Ridgway is its director. Children learn simple songs and begin to experience the discipline of sitting in a choir rehearsal. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m.

The Carol Choir - is made up of children in grades 1 and 2 and is under the direction of Pat Ruscus. Children in this Choir are beginning to read, and we begin to learn to follow a score.  We often learn music ourselves, but combine with the Rainbow Singers to sing in Worship. 

The Rainbow Singers - consists of children in grades 3 through 5 and is under the direction of Selina Heslep. These children learn the basic fundamentals of music and singing and Orff instruments, while beginning to realize their own unique contribution to the worship service. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 5:15-6:00 p.m.

Joyful Noise - is a handchime ensemble for grades three through five meets Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in room 312 under the direction of Peggy Hart.
