Holy Week Stones

Holy Week Stones

Holy Week Stones is a family devotional/activity kit that your family can use during Holy Week or any time during the Lent season. This kit includes 8 devotions for you to use each day of Holy Week. Each devotion also includes a painted stone activity for you to complete.

How does this kit work?
On each day, read the devotion for the day, discuss, and then paint and set out the corresponding stone. You can display the stones on your dinner table, fireplace, or even outside by the mailbox. These stones will serve as reminders of the last week of Jesus’ life on earth.

Please sign up here if you would like a Holy Week Stones kit: https://tinyurl.com/5n8dwm4n

They will be available to pick up in mid-March!

Ultimate Easter Hunt

Ultimate Easter Hunt

Join us on Sunday, March 19 at 10am in room 300 for The Ultimate Easter Hunt Family Discipleship Event!

Note: This will take the place of kids discipleship programming at 10am although the nursery for those 3 and under will still be open.

Families will rotate through six different stations with hands-on activities that will help them understand the true meaning of Easter.

Although this hunt is NOT for Easter eggs, we will conclude with kids decorating an Easter egg cookie to enjoy as they reflect upon the true meaning of Easter!

Summer Missions 2023

Summer Missions 2023

For our 2023 summer mission trip, we’re heading to Hinton Rural Life Center, in Hayesville, NC. This is a multi-generational trip designed to include our students as well as families and individuals who want to come along.

Hinton is a retreat center, but also a mission agency, with year-round opportunities for individual volunteers and mission teams to work with us and “alongside” our neighbors in Safe and Healthy Home Repair ministry. Other service options include our firewood ministry and Ervin Sanctuary Gardens & Trails. With its outreach focus, Hinton seeks to enhance the long-term quality of life in our rural area. And, Hinton guests “pay it forward,” as our lodging revenues help support our community outreach programs.

Hinton is a United Methodist agency, and we welcome all — all individuals, all faith traditions, and non-faith-based groups seeking to meet, retreat, and serve in a spirit of acceptance and mutual respect. We invite you to experience Hinton Center hospitality and to become a part of our community through your stay and/or service.

We’re looking at June 25-29. The cost is $395/person, but scholarships and assistance are available upon request. This fee covers all meals, project supplies, lodging, and devotional booklet. Worship and programming are led by Hinton staff and includes Appalachian Culture Night, Poverty awareness activities, group devotional times, worship services, and more.

Space is limited this week, and we will have to limit our signup to 15. We will wait-list any additional people who want to go and we will add from that list as space opens up.

Transit

Transit

Transit is designed for kids in 4th and 5th grades, and takes place twice a month at church from 5-6:30pm.  A typical evening includes dinner, games, activities and a short devotion.  Transit’s goal is to provide a place for kids in this age group to connect with their peers and begin building important friendships that will help them transition into middle school and our student ministry at Trinity.

To sign up for Transit, please register here.  Friends are welcome and encouraged to attend as well.
