As a part of Reach Out RVA, our congregation made significant effort in restocking the shelves at the Sherbourne UMC Food Pantry. This is a reminder that keeping the shelves stocked at Sherbourne is an ongoing need. We target the first Sunday of each month, Communion Sunday, to drop off food for Sherbourne. Drop off boxes will be in the Welcome Center on Sunday, May 6 just waiting to be filled up. Please don’t forget!
The Sherbourne UMC Food Pantry is an intake and distribution center for the Central Virginia FoodBank.
Donations of non perishable food items can be brought to Missions Central (near the church offices) anytime, but we especially focus on this ministry the 1st Sunday of each month when we have Communion in our Worship services. We continue to also collect paper bags, plastic bags, and clean egg cartons in Missions Central.
