Trinity Stitchers is a group of women that enjoy creating things with their hands – whether it is sewing, quilting, knitting or crocheting – anything that can be shared with others to provide them comfort.

The Trinity Stitchers group meets each month on the Third Thursday in Room 323 from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Join us for the entire time or any portion of the day. We work on quilt projects, baby slings, and school kit bags. We need individuals to help select fabrics for quilt designs and press fabrics, in addition to those that can sew. This is the perfect setting to learn from others as we share tips about the craft in addition to learning more about each other as we spend time together.

Quilts, shawls and pillows were recently delivered to: Margaret Lechner, Sue Duncan, Marian & Harold Wainwright, Mae Andrews, Stella Fritter, Shelbe Kearney and Reid Goodman.

Baby quilts and blankets were delivered to Crossover Ministries, too.

Last month with eight members present: 2 quilts finished-machine quilted and ready for delivery, while other quilts underway; work on UMCOR school kit bags proceeded all day: 11 bags completed, 12 ready to add handles and several cut and ready to sew in April, so groups can fill with school supplies and complete for June conference distribution. Some members work from home: Pat Satterfield knits beautiful shawls, Carole Madden crochets lovely hats and scarves, and Dale Boice keeps busy tying our quilts.

No matter what your talent, there is always a need for hands to create, minds to energize, and caring hearts to give. Join the “stitchers” and give a little of yourself to provide comfort to others.
