2024 Lent Devotional

2024 Lent Devotional

Regular devotion time is one of the spiritual practices we highly recommend. Whether you use one of our recommended devotions or one you find on your own, we encourage you to take the intentional time to focus, especially during this holy season of Lent.

We are providing a daily devotion by Society of St. Andrew, a Virginia-based gleaning and feeding ministry that helps feed the hungry with fresh food left in the fields after harvesting. The devotion is available in hard-copy at the church and also at www.endhunger.org

Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday

The season of Lent is upon us, and we extend an invitation to the Trinity congregation to attend the Shrove
Tuesday Pancake Dinner and the Newlywed Game on Tuesday, February 13.

This event will be held in Trinity Hall. A pancake dinner will be served by the Outreach Class from 5:15-6:15
PM, $5 per person, $10 per couple, $15 family maximum. The menu consists of pancakes, bacon, baked
apples, and beverages.

Following the pancake dinner, please plan to stay for “The Newlywed Game”! (The next day is Valentine’s
Day after all!) Our emcee is the renowned entertainer Mr. Ken Hart!

Based on the game show that ran from 1966 – 2013, we will put our couples to the test of how well they know
one another. Come and be a part of the fun!! So that the Outreach cooks can properly prepare for the
dinner, please signup below.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday

Wear the ancient sign of your faith all day: between 7:30-8:30 AM on Ash Wednesday, February 14, come by
Trinity’s front doors to receive ashes on your forehead, no need to even get out of your car! Pastors Brian and Judy will be outside and out front on Trinity’s front steps bestowing ashes, and blessings for anyone who stops by.

Start your Lenten journey this year with this fresh expression of faithfulness. See you bright and early!

The Chapel will be available all day for anyone who would like to say a prayer and receive ashes. We will then continue with a worship service in the sanctuary at 7:00 PM, which will include the imposition of ashes. The 7:00 service will also be livestreamed.

Easter Flowers

Easter Flowers

Easter is a time when we choose to honor and/or memorialize loved ones by listing their names in the bulletin on Easter Sunday morning.
The cost to have a tribute “in honor of” or “in memory of” listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin is $20.
The funds received will be used to offset the cost of flowers used to decorate the sanctuary and foyers on Easter Sunday. Monies received above the cost of the flowers will be donated to Missions at Trinity as part of our Lenten Easter Mission Offering (LEMO).
The deadline for receiving your contribution is Tuesday, March 19.
