Christmas is coming! To help us prepare, we have a series of Advent special events planned. The first is an evening of fun, crafts, food, and the usual mayhem associated with all of that. Come join us Sunday, December 3! We’ll create beginning at 4pm, followed by a shared potluck meal together.
Come, eat, be merry, and leave with some great crafts to help put you in the holiday mood!
There’s something brewing at headquarters. Nothing will ever be the same. Of course we all know that the shepherds were the first to know about the birth of Christ. Or were they? After all, there were a lot of details that needed attention to make sure that the first Christmas went according to Scripture. It’s up to an elite band of angels to make sure everything goes as planned, from arranging accommodations (or the lack thereof) for the holy family, to hanging the star, to informing everyone of the event, to … well, you get the picture. Join us on Sunday, December 17, at 4 pm as we consider that it might have been like two thousand years as we look into life B.C. (Before Christmas). Come with us for a behind-the-clouds look at what might have been during the planning of … Operation Christ Child.
We’ll have the play at 4pm, followed by a pot-luck (covered-dish) dinner. Come, eat, laugh, celebrate, and enjoy the season!
If you want to help with the play (and we need help), please fill out the form below!
Pub Theology meets monthly, generously hosted at Waygone Brewery, at 10610 Patterson Ave, Stuite 12. We meet in the brewery’s community room to the right just inside the main entrance. Come for the fellowship and conversation about a topic of interest.
Our start time will be 6 PM. Trinity will provide pizza, and we request that each person contribute $5.00 to help offset the cost. Sampling the brewery’s offerings in on your own.
A Trinity staff member or a volunteer from the congregation will present a topic for discussion each month. Our projected dates are February 20, March 12, April 16, May 14, and June 18. We hope you will consider joining us.
We are excited to bring to Trinity “Tables of Eight” this September! “Tables of Eight” is an organized supper club of sorts. We will have an organizing event on Sunday, October 2. After this first event, we hope each group will meet every month/6 weeks in each other’s homes for dinner.
Singles as well as couples are welcome to participate. At each gathering, the host is to provide the main course, everyone else brings a side dish or dessert to share.
The intent of “Tables of Eight” is for the participants to get to know each other – no study is involved, and informality is key.
The deadline to sign up for “Tables of Eight” is Tuesday, September 27 so we can get the groups organized. Persons may sign up by emailing Judy Oguich (firstname.lastname@example.org) with “Tables of Eight” in the subject line. Questions? Contact Judy Oguich or Jen Williams.
